Mathilda Marks-kennedy Jewish Primary School
MMK plays an important role within Mill Hill's Jewish community. Our Jewish identity and love of Israel are reflected in the ethos and values of our School. We also embrace important British values of tolerance and respect, acknowledging our diverse society. As a one-form entry school we are able to provide a nurturing environment and unique opportunities for every pupil.

We pride ourselves on having a caring and dedicated team of teachers and staff, and work collaboratively with our parent body and governors to ensure that every child is valued and achieves their potential. MMK is an ambitious and high-achieving School, continuously working to encourage and promote academic excellence and maximum progress for every pupil.

Established in 1959, Mathilda Marks-Kennedy Jewish Primary School is named after Mathilda Marks. Mathilda Marks was the daughter of Michael Marks, founder of Marks and Spencer. She was renowned as a philanthropist and was particularly generous towards educational and medical causes. She was married late in life to Terence Kennedy, and had no children of her own, but her legacy lives on through generations of MMK children.
Meet The Governing Body

As school governors, we are responsible for the strategic direction and the financial performance of Mathilda Marks-Kennedy. We challenge and monitor the School's Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. The Governing Body comprises relevant skills and expertise; our governors work in fields such as law, accountancy, education and communication.

Opportunities for children to express themselves in as many different ways as possible to nurture talent. Inspiring and supporting children to be independent, to self-regulate and to be adaptable. Expand the minds of young learners with a diverse and well-planned curriculum where they think for themselves to make their own judgments.
School Council
Report
We have an active School Council with representatives from Year Two to Year Six. Council members are elected each term by each of the classes. This is done through preprepared speeches read out anonymously to the class. The Council meets regularly and is actively involved in improving the school. It suggests new initiatives.
