About Us
Report
I'm Tim Veysey-Smith and I am the owner and Sports Podiatrist at Active Podiatry. As a Podiatrist I am passionate about getting you back on your feet as quickly as possible whatever the cause of your foot, ankle or lower limb pain. I have a lifelong passion for running and exploring the great outdoors, no matter what the weather, and have an odd compulsion for steep hills, whether running, hiking or skiing down them!
Laser Therapy
Report
Everyone who is active will experience muscle and joint pain from time to time, restricting your ability to exercise. Laser therapy involves directing focused laser light energy into inflamed or damaged tissues, supercharging the cells to accelerate the body's natural healing processes. After a full assessment of your condition, we will tailor a treatment protocol for you.
Shockwave Therapy
Report
Shockwave Therapy can accelerate the healing process by stimulating your body's natural responses. Three weekly sessions of five minutes each may be all you need for reduction of pain and improved ease of movement. Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a highly effective treatment which directs a series of high-energy impulses to the affected area of an injured muscle or tendon using a specialised piece of equipment.
Gait Analysis
Report
The aim of a running injury assessment is, firstly, to diagnose the injury and, secondly, try to establish what factors may have caused the injury to occur in the first place. Using a combination of history taking, standard assessment tests and specialized equipment enables me to get an accurate diagnosis so I can come up with the best treatment plan to help get you back on your feet.

Follow the B2079 North Road out of the village, following the road as it starts to climb up Summer Hill. As you pass Lower Ladysden Farm on the left hand side, continue up the hill and start looking for our 'Active Podiatry' sign on the right hand side. Turn right into the driveway immediately after the sign.
