
Loch Garten Lodges are a small, natural site with self-catering lodge accommodation near Boat of Garten. Open all year round, we are only 7 miles from Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands. Without even leaving your lodge, it is possible to see a variety of wildlife, including pine martens, deer, red squirrels and many birds.
Ideally situated only a short distance from Boat of Garten, the site allows you easy access to all that Speyside and the Abernethy nature reserve have to offer. Our site is perfectly situated to experience Scotland's wildlife close at hand. Without leaving the site you may see all manner of bird life, red squirrels, rabbits, deer and, if you're up early and keep quiet, even some pine martens.

Situated in the heart of the Caringorm National Park, out lodge park is a perfect location to wind down, enjoy a relaxing break away from the main tourist area of Aviemore and explore all that the area has to offer. Landmark Forest Adventure Park - a great day out for the kids (and adults). Located in Carrbridge 7 miles from the park Forest activity park with climbing wall, highwirecourse, maze, raft ride and roller coaster.

Loch Garten Lodges sits on the Speyside way with beautiful trails stretching for miles. Nethy Bridge is an easy walk along the Speyside way where you can reward yourself with a coffee and a piece of cake in the Nethy House Caf. For a longer walk continue onwards to Grantown on Spey. In Aviemore itself is the Aviemore circular route - a short walk round the outskirts of the town.
Wildlife

We are very fortunate to have Pine Martens which come onto the site. Guests can entice them on to the decking of the lodges with sultanas, nuts and peanut butter. Many wildlife photographers return to the park year after year to see these rare creatures. We have lots of red squirrels in the trees around the park.

Do NOT take the first Aviemore exit. Let the A9 take you past Aviemore. Leave the A9 at the exit signposted Carrbridge / Boat of Garten / Nethy Bridge. At the t-junction with the A95, turn left. Signposted Carrbridge / Boat of Garten / Nethy Bridge. Continue on the A95. Stay on this road until the exit signposted Boat of Garten.
