Established in 2007, Yummy Yorkshire began as a small artisan ice cream venture on a family-run dairy farm in the Pennine Yorkshire countryside. Our heritage spans generations of the Holmes family, who have preserved traditional farming practices while innovating to meet modern tastes. In 2012, a DEFRA grant enabled us to expand into a larger facility, creating the Hide & Hoof Restaurant and Coffee Shop that now serves guests seven days a week. Our dedicated team, led by Restaurant Manager Emma and Head Chef Chris, prioritises quality and hospitality, using ingredients sourced from over 30 local producers to craft seasonal menus. We pride ourselves on delivering a warm Yorkshire welcome, whether through breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special events in our Hayloft.Our commitment to excellence has earned 23 Great Taste Awards, recognising both our ice cream and culinary offerings. The Ice Cream Parlour, open daily, features 18 flavours alongside barista-made coffee and desserts, while the restaurant offers indoor and dog-friendly heated booth seating. We also provide takeaway services, seasonal afternoon tea, Christmas dining events, and a Sunday market with local traders. Sustainability and community remain central to our operations, reflecting our deep connection to the Yorkshire landscape and its traditions.

Looooove it here! Amazing food, beautiful location and friendly staff the menu has a great variety of options and the ice cream is out of this world, with flavours rotating so you never get bored if you visit often!

Visited last night for a festive meal and boy , it was amazing . The food was fantastic , loved all 3 courses but the Turkey main was outstanding , served on a lovely hot plate , with piping hot food including… plenty of Turkey , no skimping here . I had the Black Forest trifle for desert and it was as good as it looks and my starter of smoked salmon was super tasty . The girls attending to us were all very polite & extremely friendly with nothing too much trouble for them. Sometimes Christmas meals can be all hype and poor quality - this was certainly the opposite and for the price
