There are no set charges although The Notaries Society reminds its members that they should charge a proper fee which is appropriate for the level of service offered and which will enable them to meet the cost of acting properly and in accordance with the Rules made by the Faculty Office and with the demands of good professional practice.

In nearly every case and at its outset, you will be provided with a quotation based on a fixed fee and will be at liberty to accept or refuse the fee quoted. In most cases, the fee quoted will itemise Notary fees and any other expenses, such as fees for postage or payable to couriers, consular agents, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), an embassy or to an educational institution or verification body.
