Established in 1993, we are a family-owned freehouse pub nestled in the Dorset countryside. Our menus feature locally sourced ingredients with meat from Rawston Farm Butchery. We offer seasonal dishes including light bites, starters, mains, and desserts in a traditional pub setting. The restaurant accommodates both casual dining and special occasions with a focus on Dorset produce.
Accommodation
Six en-suite bedrooms available with rustic brick construction around a private courtyard. Rooms include modern amenities like flat-screen TVs and tea-making facilities. Available seven nights weekly during summer and four nights in winter months.
Event Hosting
Private function room and conservatory available for weddings, conferences, and celebrations. Accommodates 8-70 guests with dedicated facilities including AV equipment and breakout gardens. Packages include refreshments and parking.
Butchery
Award-winning butchery offering Tarrant Valley Beef hung for 28 days. Sells locally sourced lamb, pork, chicken, and homemade products like pies and sausages. Open Monday-Saturday with a focus on traditional butchery methods.
Wedding Venue
Licensed for civil ceremonies in Stables Restaurant and courtyard gardens. Offers tailored wedding packages with 25 years' experience hosting receptions. Includes venue decoration, catering, and accommodation for guests.

Sixth-generation farmer who transformed The Langton Arms into an award-winning pub. Led recovery after 2004 disaster and established Rawston Farm Butchery in 2012. Holds 26 years of hospitality management experience.

Local farmer and business partner with Barbara. Provides agricultural expertise from six generations of Tarrant Valley farming. Contributes to the pub's sourcing and operational strategies.

What are your opening hours for food service?
Wednesday-Saturday 12:00-19:30/19:45, Sunday 12:00-16:00. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays except for accommodation bookings.
Do you offer accommodation?
Yes, six en-suite bedrooms available seven nights weekly in summer and four nights weekly in winter months.
Can I book events at The Langton Arms?

Absolutely amazing experience . We were a large party of 9 including 4 children . Nothing was too much trouble and the food was exquisite . Would definitely recommend the Langton arms .

Went for New years eve. Sat near restaurant entrance, new baby and dog next tables. Very bright lights ,cheap serviettes, plastic table cloth. Veg served all together in what looked like a cafe bowl. It was all like school dinners. Tepid ,salty and bag salad leaves. Not impressed. Very abrupt waiter kept asking, "all right" .

Fabulous pub! Food fabulous. Amazing service. Cant fault any of that. Not the cheapest but worth the extra for sure. Despite some negative reviews, speak as we found - 14 of us - & no one had a bad word to say. Check it out yourself!
