Frome Memorial Theatre: Celebrating Culture & History in Frome
Established in 1925, Frome Memorial Theatre stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of those who served in the World Wars. Originally conceived as a memorial hall, our venue evolved to meet community needs, introducing cinema facilities in the 1930s before transitioning into a dedicated theatre space. Today, we serve as both a historical landmark and a vibrant cultural hub, hosting over 100 performances annually across our two venues. Our operations are sustained by more than 100 dedicated volunteers who ensure seamless delivery of every event. The theatre complex includes the historic Memorial Theatre and the Assembly Rooms, available for private hire and offering pre-show refreshments.

We maintain rigorous accessibility standards, with designated wheelchair spaces, companion seating, and clear booking protocols. Our technical upgrades include digital ticketing systems and enhanced entry processes while preserving architectural heritage. The theatre plays a crucial role in local remembrance ceremonies, hosting the annual November service honouring military service personnel. Through strategic community engagement and modernisation initiatives, we continue to evolve while maintaining our founding purpose of cultural enrichment and historical preservation.

Great traditional theatre. Very welcoming. Comfortable seats. Only drawback no lift to the circle, but lots of seats in the stalls. Circle view excellent as seats well raked. We will go back
