Thurlstone Primary is a small, friendly, forward-thinking school which we hope is reflected in these pages. We are proud of what our children achieve in all aspects of their education and personal development. We are fully committed to developing our children spiritually, morally, socially and culturally. We hope you find the site useful and that it gives you a small taste and feel of "what we're about." We're producing a virtual tour so you can have a look round at all the new facilities at our school.

Being healthy in body and in mind is so important to us! We believe that children should be as active as possible, so therefore every day all our children walk, jog or run a mile! The impact has been amazing! Our children are fitter, have more staying power and we even do better when competing in sporting events.
Year 3 – The Monstars
Report
Homework is given on Fridays and should be handed in on Thursday morning (this gives me a day to mark it all!?) The homework will usually consist of a piece of literacy/theme, numeracy and a spelling activity. Please feel free to work with your child as this will give you a better understanding of the work your child is expected to do in school.

Our aim is that children should achieve their potential in all areas of the National Curriculum and Foundation Curriculum, achieving excellence in a wide variety of ways. In order to achieve this we believe that priority must be given to developing an ethos in the school community, which allows all children to experience success.
