Turbelle's team are known for their skill, knowledge and passion in performing arts and the dedication they show towards their students. Each tutor is unique in their style and speciality but all teachers follow the same teaching criteria. Every one of our tutors are choreographers and have excessive experience in working with children and the performing arts industry.
All our tutors are DBS checked and also work either for the council, as nursery nurses, child minders, teachers or advisors within the educational system. Joelle's first ballet lesson was at four years old. By the age of eight she was also enjoying tap, modern, lyrical, acrobats and singing and had already taken first place in several major BTDA (British Theatre Dance Association) competitions and championships.

Report
Street dance covers a wide range of styles. Choreographed group routines consisting of styles such as house, locking, krumping are taught within these classes. The children in this group are introduced to street dance in a fun and easy manner. Chosen music for this age range is often current songs that they are likely to have heard on the radio or on the television.
Drama
Report
Drama (acting) is a talent we feel every one of our students should participate in alongside their dance classes. It is a skill that can help grow a person's confidence as well as greatly assist those wishing to pursue a career in performing arts. Often through games, the first techniques to be taught to those new to drama are voice projection, speaking clearly, mime and freeze frames - All being important and common techniques used.
Lyrical/Contemporary
Report
It fuses modern, jazz and ballet techniques and is great for expressing emotions or telling a story through dance. Ages 3-6 tend to enjoy this class as often music from their favourite films are used such as tracks from Disney's Frozen, Beauty and The Beast and Moana. Music is often slow ballads. At this early stage dancers are taught coordination as well as flexibility.
Tap Dance
Report
Tap dance is a type of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Tap dance for ages 3 to 6 at Turbelles focuses on developing rhythm, balance and coordination. The class is fun, energetic and full of sound. Our young students love the noise their feet can make during this class.
