The Premium Bakery was started in 2007 by Peter Ford and along with his son Graeme have grown the business from our beginnings in Loanhead to moving to our new purpose built factory in Prestonpans in 2017.Our recipes have been passed down through four generations of our family providing the same traditional products that Scottish families have enjoyed for decades.

As a family business we believe strongly in the importance of our staff, our community and the environment. For our staff we are living wage providers and have training and development programs in place. We also work with local councils on social programs to help with employment and regeneration in local areas.
