St Luke's is a GP Surgery offering some specialised services situated within the Pinfold Health Centre Field Road at Bloxwich, Walsall. Our patient list is open and we accept new patients. Please book to see Dr Nair/nurses / Vera Brown for contraceptive advice and supply of condoms. Receptionist Vera can supply condoms - you can ring and ask for Vera or request via a note in the post box with a contact number - Vera will ring you back. If you think you are pregnant, please do a pregnancy test and confirm pregnancy and then book to see the Community Midwife.
Appointments

You can book appointments via internet and 'self check in at the desk on the computer screen. We will make every effort to see children under 4 years the same day. If appointments are not available on the day the receptionists will offer you a Telephone consultation. Nurse Triage : On certain busy days, a trained nurse will speak to you first before booking to see the doctor.
Repeat Prescriptions

You can come into the practice with the right hand side of your last prescription, tick the boxes to state which medication you need and post into the red box on reception. If you have lost the right had side of your prescription you can write your name, address and what medication you need onto a piece of paper.

We record your personal information in order for us to provide you with appropriate care and treatment. This information is recorded on computer and we are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and abide by the Caldicott Principles. The Practise will ensure that the patient confidentiality is maintained at all times by all staff.
Minor Illness Treatment
Report
These are commonly caused by viruses and, unfortunately, there is no cure. Antibiotics are of no use. Treatment usually consists of taking recommended doses of Paracetamol (Calpol) and drinking fluids. The illness will last 'one week if treated and seven days if not treated!' The dry cough may persist for 2 to 3 weeks especially in smokers.
