Services
Tree Surgery
Our tree surgery services encompass crown reduction, pollarding, and storm damage repair using industry-standard techniques. We specialise in working with ancient and veteran trees, employing coronet cuts to mimic natural fractures while maintaining structural integrity. All operations follow BS3998 recommendations, with a focus on safety and ecological preservation. Our team handles both residential and commercial projects across Gloucestershire.
Woodland Management
We provide comprehensive woodland management including habitat restoration, coppicing, and invasive species control. Our expertise extends to creating sustainable woodland enterprises through timber production and charcoal making. We develop tailored management plans aligned with UKFS standards, balancing ecological conservation with practical land use requirements for private estates and conservation organisations.
Crown Reduction
Specialised crown reduction services maintain tree health while addressing safety concerns and aesthetic requirements. We use precision cutting techniques to reduce canopy size without compromising structural integrity. This service includes post-operation site clearance and timber repurposing options, with particular expertise in managing large specimen trees in sensitive environments.
Pollarding
Our pollarding services focus on maintaining mature trees through cyclical pruning techniques. We specialise in restoring historic pollarded trees while implementing modern best practices to ensure long-term health. This service includes careful debris management and can be combined with woodland floor habitat improvement measures as part of broader estate management.
Veteran Tree Care
Specialist care for ancient and veteran trees including structural assessments, decay management, and habitat enhancement. We employ non-invasive inspection methods and sympathetic pruning techniques to extend tree longevity. Our approach balances safety requirements with ecological value preservation, particularly for trees in conservation areas or with TPO protection.

Patrick and the team have done a number of jobs for us since we moved into our house. Most recent was a crown raise and reduction on a large Beech tree. The team worked tirelessly all day and the tree looks amazing, feels like we gained 50% more garden.
Patrick has always given great advice and communicates well. I have already recommended him to our neighbours.
