History – How did we get here

We at V and F Sheet Metal are proud to be a stable family owned business now in its 2nd generation. Started in the family garage of Victor and Frances Frith in the early 1980's it has now grown to a sheet metal fabrication company employing nearly 20 people in 10,000 sq ft of factory units on the Segensworth industrial estate, just outside Fareham, right on Junction 9 of the M27 in Hampshire.

What is sheet metal work

V and F Sheet Metal are metal workers based in Fareham, Hampshire midway between Portsmouth and Southampton just off the M27 motorway. We have been manufacturing sheet metal work for a growing customer base since the 1980s. With a family business ethos of constant investment in manufacturing plant and office systems to allow us to offer a comprehensive engineering service to our customers in the UK and Europe.

Corner Notcher and Notching
Report
A corner notcher is basically a sheet metal working machine used to cut out a 90 deg section with a V shaped blade. The notcher is hydraulically powered and can take cuts in to a sheet of metal from a small cut of only 1mm up to 120mm in one operation. The corner on a sheet of metal can be cut out to provide clearance when the 2 sides may be folded up such as in a shallow tray or box.
