Our DVSA-approved Compulsory Basic Training covers all five required elements to legally ride motorcycles. The course includes machine checks, controlled environment practice, and on-road training with radio communication. Instructors focus on safety awareness, highway code knowledge, and practical riding skills. Training packages include all necessary equipment and preparation for obtaining your DL196 certificate.
A1 Licence Course
This course prepares riders to obtain their A1 motorcycle licence for 125cc machines. Training includes advanced road positioning, group riding techniques, and test preparation. Our structured program builds on CBT foundations to develop confidence with higher-powered motorcycles. Instructors provide tailored feedback to address individual learning needs during both practice sessions and mock assessments.
A2 Licence Course
Designed for riders seeking unrestricted 47BHP motorcycle privileges, this course focuses on advanced riding techniques and test preparation. Training covers complex road scenarios, emergency manoeuvres, and performance riding principles. Our experienced instructors use video analysis and real-time feedback to help learners meet DVSA test standards while maintaining safety consciousness throughout their development.
A Licence Course
Our full A licence program develops advanced riding capabilities for unrestricted motorcycle operation. The curriculum emphasizes high-speed riding techniques, group formation riding, and comprehensive test preparation. Instructors work closely with learners to refine their roadcraft skills and decision-making processes under various traffic conditions to ensure readiness for the DVSA practical examination.
Taster Sessions
1.5-hour taster sessions provide first-time riders with basic motorcycle handling experience. These introductory lessons cover fundamental controls, braking techniques, and low-speed manoeuvres in a controlled environment. Ideal for assessing riding aptitude before committing to full training programs, sessions include all necessary equipment and safety instruction for beginners.
Questions
What does the CBT course involve?
Our CBT course includes five elements: introduction and eyesight check, machine maintenance basics, controlled environment riding practice, road safety theory, and on-road training with radio communication. Completion grants your DL196 certificate.
How old do I need to be for motorcycle training?
You can start CBT at 16 for mopeds or 17 for 125cc motorcycles. Full licence categories require minimum ages of 19 for A2 and 24 for unrestricted A licences.
What should I wear for training sessions?
Minimum requirements are jeans without rips and sturdy footwear. We provide helmets, jackets, and gloves, though you may bring your own approved safety gear if preferred.
Can I use my own motorcycle for training?
Our training uses school motorcycles to ensure appropriate learner machines. This guarantees proper sizing and safety features specifically suited to your skill development needs during instruction.
What areas do you cover for training?
We primarily serve Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield, and Leicestershire areas with convenient access to varied road conditions for comprehensive rider development.
How long does the CBT course take?
Most learners complete CBT in one intensive day. Some may require additional training sessions depending on progress through the five required elements at their own learning pace.

I recently had my training done with 2 Countries for an unrestricted motorcycle licence. I have passed both of my modules for first attempt. The mod 2 was done by no faults at all. This is how good my trainers been Paul and Leo. They are giving the highest standard of training, absolutely worth all the pennies. They are really friendly and you feel like you are part of their motorbike family for the time you do your training. There are also a lot of nice bikes in the shop to chose from once the licence gained.

My journey started over a year ago and from start to finish Cam and his team have been outstanding and supportive. Thank you Alex and Leo for getting me through the CBT, thanks also to Paul and Leo (again) for getting me through both Mod1 and Mod2. Cannot recommend Cam and his team highly enough, If you're thinking of doing your bike test you couldn't pick a better team. Giving great advice and making the whole journey enjoyable
