Established in 2012, Caffe Cream began as a passion project inspired by Italian gelato traditions and a gap in the local market for authentic artisan ice cream. Our journey started in New Brighton, where we opened our first store to bring hand-crafted gelato to the Wirral community. Over the years, we have expanded to three parlours and a state-of-the-art factory, creating over 140 unique flavours using Italian techniques and locally sourced ingredients. Our commitment to quality has earned us 15 ICA National Ice Cream Awards, 5 Great Taste Awards, and the title of UK's Best Caf. Sustainability and social responsibility are core to our values, reflected in our Fairtrade Champion status, waste reduction initiatives, and local employment practices.We prioritise sourcing from independent suppliers within the North West, supporting regional commerce while minimising our carbon footprint. Our team, led by Gelato Maestro Kieran, combines traditional craftsmanship with innovative flavour combinations, including a popular vegan range. With free parking at multiple locations and a focus on community engagement, we aim to provide an exceptional experience that extends beyond our products. Artisan Gelato
Our artisan gelato is crafted using traditional Italian techniques combined with locally sourced ingredients. With over 140 unique flavours including seasonal specials, each batch is made fresh daily at our Wirral factory. The lower butterfat content compared to regular ice cream allows for more intense flavour delivery, making every scoop a premium experience.
Handmade Cookies
All cookies are baked fresh daily using recipes developed to complement our gelato range. We use ethical ingredients sourced from local suppliers, with special attention to texture and portion control. Our cookie menu includes classic combinations alongside innovative pairings that change with the seasons.
Grilled Cheese
Our grilled cheese sandwiches feature premium cheeses sourced from regional dairies, served on freshly baked bread. The menu includes both traditional and gourmet options with carefully selected accompaniments. Each sandwich is prepared to order using techniques that ensure perfect cheese melt and bread caramelisation.
Coffee
We serve specialty coffee made from ethically sourced beans roasted locally. Our baristas are trained in Italian espresso techniques to ensure consistent quality. The menu includes classic coffee styles alongside seasonal specials that pair perfectly with our gelato offerings.

We operate the 'CH4 Food' concept, sourcing 85% of ingredients from local independent suppliers within the North West region.
Where are your locations?
We have cafes in New Brighton, Birkenhead Park, and Woodside Ferry Village. Our Birkenhead Precinct location is also available for takeaway service.
What sustainability initiatives do you have?
We use calcium straws, recyclable packaging, and donate coffee grounds as fertiliser. We've been Wirral's Fairtrade Champion and shortlisted for Sustainable Tourism awards.
What are your opening hours?
All locations open daily from 9am-4pm, except Woodside Ferry Village which is reopening in 2025 after refurbishment.

Great choice of ice creams and well priced. Plenty of space to sit and watch people go by, next to the New Brighton Marina as well.

Lovely coffee. Never seem to have enough staff. Coffee is good though and priced on par with other places. Flat white was 2.70. Larger than you would get at some of the bigger named companies

Nice Cafe with Sea Front Views. Outside seating also available. Parking near Morrisons free. Good service. Peak times long Queue.

The ice-cream was good. Service was good too. Didn't understand the pricing though. Paid about 4 more than what was advertised on the board but didn't realise it until I checked my payments that night. However its worth it and best to support the local than buying from a mass vendor.
