Every August Bank Holiday weekend at the Greenbelt Festival, we transform a large bar at Cheltenham Race Course into the tank internet caf, serving up the world wide web, workshops, mobile phone charging and of course, Fairtrade coffee, tea and delicious hot chocolate, plus a few other things to nibble on too.

This ensures that we deal with the farmers directly and that they are paid a fair wage for their truly wonderful Arabica beans, this also means that our farmers do not have to be part of a co-operative. We strive to invest money back into the farmer's community by returning some of our revenue back into community projects.

At tankcoffee we feel that it's crucial to give our farmers the credit they deserve for growing those truly wonderful, full-flavour, Arabica beans that you've been enjoying in your cup. Background: He has worked at Pioneer Wet Mill since it was established in 2007, as a technician.
He assists with other projects relating to coffee in the region of Sidamo regarding the technical operating side of the business to ensure they are all run and function properly.Dereje helped us install a solar panel on to the roof of the Pioneer Wet Mill office. Clambering up the 'trusty' wooden ladders we carefully balanced on the corrugated iron roof (he seemed a lot more at ease up on the roof than we did!)

Our roaster is called Garth. And he takes pride in every batch. That's why, if you're not completely happy with our coffee for whatever reason, not only will Garth take a long, hard look at himself, we'll replace it free of charge or, if you prefer, give you a full refund. Our Roastery is located in the heart of post-industrial Greater Manchester, situated between Manchester and Liverpool, nestled away by the Bridgewater canal.
