Services
Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapy services address musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Using hands-on techniques like mobilisation and deep tissue massage, we improve joint mobility and muscle function. Tailored exercise programmes enhance posture, strength, and movement efficiency, accessible via our app for home rehab. Treatment plans include lifestyle adaptations to prevent recurrence, ensuring long-term recovery and improved performance for patients of all ages.
IDD Therapy
IDD Therapy targets disc-related spinal conditions such as herniation and sciatica. The non-invasive treatment uses computerised traction to decompress discs, promoting nutrient flow and healing. Sessions last 25 minutes, with a recommended 20 sessions over 6-8 weeks. Ideal for chronic back pain sufferers, it reduces nerve pressure, muscle spasm, and improves mobility. Combines with physiotherapy for enhanced outcomes, avoiding surgical intervention.
Sports Massage
Sports and remedial massage therapies alleviate muscle tension, improve circulation, and aid recovery from sports injuries. Techniques include deep transverse friction, myofascial release, and neuromuscular therapy. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, whether preparing for competition or addressing chronic pain. Integrated with physiotherapy programmes, it accelerates healing and enhances athletic performance while promoting relaxation.
Children's Physiotherapy
Specialised care for infants, children, and adolescents with developmental delays, musculoskeletal conditions, or sports injuries. Treatment incorporates play-based activities to improve motor skills, balance, and mobility. Conditions addressed include hip dysplasia, scoliosis, and hypermobility. Our paediatric physiotherapist collaborates with families and other clinicians to ensure age-appropriate interventions, fostering optimal growth and functional independence.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave Therapy treats chronic tendon conditions like plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinopathy. High-energy acoustic waves stimulate tissue regeneration and reduce pain. A typical course involves 3-4 sessions over 6 weeks, combined with rehabilitation exercises. Effective for patients unresponsive to conventional treatments, it accelerates healing, restores function, and minimises downtime, enabling a return to daily activities and sports.

As a keen runner, I contacted Dan as a last resort following three years suffering with a repetitive calf tear, which no amount of rest or rehabilitation seemed to cure. After an initial consultation Dan wrote a specific programme for me over a 16 week period. Through the rigorous exercises and a return to running schedule over 12 weeks I was able to strengthen my calf, cure the tear and have now found a better, more efficient running style. Thank you to Dan and his team. Excellent work!!

I suffered with neck pain for 12 years before I was finally referred to Sports & Spinal Physio (Dan). I'd seen various different physios over the years, most of which had treated my symptoms, but had never really got to the root cause of the problem.
Dan not only explained what was actually causing my problems, but was able to demonstrate, so I fully understood and was able to make the necessary adjustments needed to help relieve my symptoms. Before seeing Dan I had been diagnosed with a chronic pain condition, but after extensive exploratory consultation with Dan, I approached my GP about, what

When I arrived at Sports and Spinal I was in a lot of pain, a toddler, baby and demanding physical job. Rene took the time to listen to my aims and gave me a detailed exercise plan to carry out at home. At every visit the exercises were assessed and adapted (usually to make harder as I was getting stronger and the pain was decreasing). After 10 sessions I am in a much better place, I can carry my kids without wincing, and have begun to resume my 'normal' exercise alongside those that I had been taught. If you're in pain and considering making an appointment DO IT. Thank you Rene!

I went to Sports & Spinal Physio almost a year ago now with awful pain in my foot & leg. My wonderful physio Rene was able to diagnose it as a tendon injury. I was informed from the very first session that due to the nature of the injury it would take a long time to heal. However Ive had many sessions all of which have been so beneficial in my healing journey & helping me become so much stronger. Now I can go back to running like I did before. I wouldnt have been able to do it without Renes help. I would highly recommend the clinic

I am 27 and have always struggled with back pain since I was a teenager. Everything I did to try and help the pain, made it worse. When I met Alina, I was near to my breaking point and I am so happy with the progress I have made. Alina has been supportive, constructive and patient with me on the journey, I would highly recommend! Thank you.
