David Cowburn Funerals was started in 2012 by David & Suzanne Cowburn. David previously had a number of years experience arranging and conducting funerals in the Leyland area. We pride ourselves on being Independent and providing a truly personal service for each family. We are able to arrange everything that is required to make each funeral unique - from the choice of coffin to the flowers and orders of service.
When Someone Dies

At this time of sadness we extend our condolences and offer our support. Following bereavement never think it is too soon to contact us, we are available 24 hours a day. From your first call to us we will guide you. We will attend the place where death has occurred and bring the deceased into our care at the funeral home.
Dying at Home

Please contact the doctor immediately. If the doctor cannot be contacted please contact the police. If the doctor has certified the death and tells you he will issue the medical certificate of cause of death, then you can call us. We will attend at whatever time of day you wish and at your convenience, with care and dignity, remove the deceased to our funeral home.

Most people expect to be very upset or distressed when someone close to them has died. What takes many people by surprise is how strong the emotions can be, how they can change very quickly, and how long they last. People around you may seem to think you should be 'back to normal' after a few weeks or months.

Please see below an itemised list of our services. Please note these fees are for our services only and do not include any disbursements (fees payable to third parties) for example Church, Crematorium or Cemetery fees. All charges and fees to be paid in advance. Administration, transfer of the deceased into our care in office hours, a simple coffin, a hearse direct to the place of committal.
