Services
Chimney Sweep
Our comprehensive chimney sweeping service maintains optimal fireplace efficiency through thorough soot and debris removal. Using traditional techniques combined with modern equipment, we clear blockages in all chimney types. Regular maintenance prevents dangerous carbon monoxide buildup while improving heating efficiency. Our sweeps follow industry safety standards, leaving no residue in treated properties.
Bird Nest Removal
Specialised removal of bird nests from chimney flues using approved tools and techniques. We address complete nest structures including organic materials and debris. Our process includes post-removal smoke draw testing to verify complete clearance, with immediate bird guard installation to prevent re-infestation during nesting season.
Bird Guards
Installation of British Standard-compliant bird guards tailored to different chimney types. Our solutions include chimney pots, cages, and caps that prevent nesting while maintaining proper flue ventilation. Guards are fitted to meet EU safety regulations, ensuring long-term protection against debris accumulation and nesting activity.
CCTV Chimney Surveys
Advanced diagnostic assessments using high-resolution CCTV equipment to examine internal chimney conditions. This non-invasive method identifies structural issues, blockages, and wear patterns without requiring physical dismantling. Surveys provide visual documentation of chimney integrity, supporting informed maintenance decisions for property owners.

Questions
How often should chimneys be professionally swept?
Frequency depends on fuel type: house coal twice yearly, smokeless coal annually, wood burning up to four times yearly, with oil, gas and bio fuels requiring annual servicing.
What signs indicate bird nesting in chimneys?
Common indicators include finding twigs in fire grates, observing birds dropping materials into chimney pots, and unusual silence from chimney flues due to blockages.
Can I remove bird nests myself?
Attempting DIY removal risks chimney damage and potential legal issues during nesting season (March-August). Professional removal ensures safe, compliant clearance and prevents re-infestation.
Do you provide CCTV inspection services?
Yes, we use advanced CCTV chimney surveys to diagnose hidden issues without invasive methods, providing accurate assessments of internal chimney conditions.
What areas do you cover?
Based in Whaley Bridge, we serve all High Peak towns including Buxton, Glossop, and Marple, with extended coverage to surrounding Derbyshire and Cheshire villages.
