Residential Addiction Treatment Centre
Western Counselling has been delivering residential treatment for alcohol and drug dependency in England for over 35 years. Our specialist team of counsellors and support workers is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for clients with addiction issues, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. We offer structured detoxification programmes, 12-step recovery frameworks, and individualised therapy to equip clients with tools for sustained abstinence. Our multidisciplinary team combines professional expertise with lived experience to create a client-focused environment that prioritises personal growth and societal reintegration. We accept both private and funded clients and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment. Our facility in Weston-Super-Mare provides modern accommodation, therapeutic spaces, and aftercare support to facilitate long-term recovery.

We operate a free annual treatment placement for individuals unable to access funded care, reflecting our commitment to accessibility. With decades of collective experience, our leadership team oversees daily operations while maintaining clinical excellence. Our structured programme includes medical assessments, group therapy, relapse prevention workshops, and community reintegration support. We measure success through client outcomes, including a 100% detox completion rate for alcohol/stimulant users in 2014. Our approach integrates evidence-based practices with compassionate care to address the complex needs of individuals seeking recovery.
