Your Family's Sailing Adventure Starts Here
Established in 1962, Delph Sailing Club has been a cornerstone of family-friendly sailing in Bolton for over six decades. Our club fosters a welcoming environment where sailors aged 5 to 80+ can enjoy competitive racing or leisurely social sailing. With twice-weekly competitive series from Easter to New Year's Day and Friday evening social sessions, we cater to all skill levels. Our RYA-certified training programs, included in membership fees, ensure newcomers and returning sailors gain confidence on the water. Nestled between Egerton and Belmont, our clubhouse offers panoramic countryside views and a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments from our bar and galley.Generational family participation remains central to our ethos, with multiple family members often racing together. We host annual events like cadet Christmas parties and family socials, reinforcing our community focus. Our historic site, originally a 1924 reservoir, has evolved from humble beginnings with wooden storage huts to modern facilities supporting diverse fleets including Lasers, Solos, and Miracles. Whether you're seeking competitive thrills or tranquil sailing, our club provides expert guidance and a supportive network. With easy access from Chorley, Preston, Blackburn, and Manchester, we remain committed to making sailing accessible to all.
