
St Catherine's Nursery in Leyland is an independent daycare centre providing excellent quality childcare 49 weeks of the year. We maintain a happy, lively and stimulating environment where pre-school children from the ages of two to five enjoy a high standard of education and care. St Catherine's is a "full daycare" facility that also offers limited free places to parents seeking part-time / sessional places.
We are a registered charity and a non-profit making organisation. Our nursery is about passion rather than financial gain. Our excellent reputation is based upon providing high quality care in a home from home environment where you and your child will grow to love. The Nursery is registered with OFSTED as a childcare provider and currently holds an 'Outstanding' grading.

Our 'Outstanding' nursery was established in 1998, and although is situated within the Primary School building, enjoys the benefits of an independent establishment. The nursery welcomes everyone in the local community, we maintain a happy, lively and stimulating environment, where pre-school children aged two to five years, enjoy a high standard of pre-school education and care.

Our nursery staff retention is excellent, therefore our nursery provides consistency for you and your child which enables strong relationships to develop, which in turn supports children to grow in confidence and self-esteem. The nursery staff team are dedicated to working with parents to provide the best start for each individual child.

Helen Brockliss has been selected by the Early Years Foundation Stage Consultancy Team as a designated Lead Practitioner for the past four years. The scheme was established to contribute to the continued development of high-quality practice within the Early Years Foundation Stage throughout Lancashire.

Healthy Living and Nutrition

We fully understand the importance of promoting healthy living, we offer a healthy and nutritious two week rolling snack menu which adds variety along with ensuring your child is offered the recommended quantities of all the food groups on a daily basis. All children have access to drinking water at all times throughout each day, at Snack times the children are able to have the choice of milk or water.
