Traditional Cornish Pasties & Bakery Delights in Cornwall
Our story began in 1860 when two Cornish families united through marriage in St Just, Cornwall, sharing a passion for traditional baking. Over 160 years, we've preserved secret family recipes to craft hand-crimped pasties, scones, and saffron cakes using premium ingredients. From humble origins serving local miners and farmers, we've grown to 40 bakeries across the West Country and South Wales while maintaining our heritage. Our commitment to quality remains unchanged, with recipes passed through generations still guiding our daily baking. We cater to diverse tastes by offering vegetarian and vegan pasty options alongside traditional favourites. The fresh aroma of our Cornish pasties baking in-store continues to welcome customers exactly as it did in 1860. Our expansion includes strategic locations at railway stations and high streets, ensuring accessibility to both locals and visitors. The fourth-generation family business maintains its original ethos of providing wholesome, freshly baked goods to communities. Our dedication to Cornish culinary traditions has earned us recognition as the world's oldest Cornish pasty producer. Today, we balance heritage with innovation by introducing new flavours like our Pork & Devon Red Cider Pasty while respecting time-honoured methods.

No longer a bakery. Just a pastie shop. The pasties are poor quality. If you are in St just, use McFadden's next door but two

Great little bakery in the middle of the village, parking outside if you can get a space. Very clean and tidy and the staff very friendly, recently purchased a pastie and drink for my wife and me as we were visiting while on holiday. Piping hot and very enjoyable, as we sat outside on picnic tables, lovely hot and cold food available and we were very tempted by buns and cakes on offer but unfortunately we were too full to participate on this occasion. Would definitely visit again when we are visiting the area.

Good trad pastie, plenty of meat with the veg, washed down with a decent cup of tea. Helpful staff were kind enough to carry it out to the table for me as I had run out of hands.

As a tourist, when I saw "traditional cornish" I asked the lady what is inside and she replied very rude saying that: are you asking me what is inside? It's what always has been. I am not used to be asked this as here only local people buying and they already know what's inside. So what to understand? Are you unhappy that a tourist came inside your shop to buy something ? If I am not a local person I cannot eat your traditional pie and you are not happy to tell what's inside? Awful

Theirs is not the cheapest pasty, but it certainly is lovely and moist, with both a hearty filling and a tasty pastry that holds everything together. Very friendly and welcoming staff, who are trying very hard to ensure that you are safe when visiting their shop. They also serve hot and cold drinks, besides the usual bakery offerings.
