Littlehampton Golf Club was founded in 1889, and is the only Links golf course in West Sussex and was recently described in GOLF NEWS as 'Sussex's Hidden Gem of a Links'. The 18 hole par 70 course is never the same from one day to the next as the changing wind conditions make each hole set up differently from round to round.
However, one consistent feature is the quality of the course together with the stunning views of the sea and of the historic and beautiful South Downs. Our aim is that members and visitors enjoy a memorable golf experience and whether you are looking for golf membership, a society golf venue or function hire, Littlehampton Golf Club is the perfect location.

Flora & Fauna
Report
The golf links at Littlehampton is situated on and adjacent to the West Beach Local Nature Reserve, a complex of sand dunes on the west side of the mouth of the river Arun. Parts of the course also fall within the broader Climping Beach Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which has national protection.
Course Tour
Report
A formidable opening hole which can play deceptively long when played into the wind. Two deep bunkers short of the putting surface demand an accurate approach to a long green, which can prove harder to hit due to the sloping surrounds. Hold the fairway and you are left with a direct route to the green.
Clubhouse
Report
Built in 1986 to replace the previous Clubhouse that was lost to fire, Littlehampton Golf Club now has a splendid environment in which to welcome the golfer to the sanctuary of the 19th hole. We have both a formal and informal bars, stocked with a wide range of wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic beverages served by our friendly and welcoming staff.
Club History
Report
The par remains at 70, but if anyone thinks that this course will give you a flattering score, they should consult the honours boards in the Clubhouse. In the early days the only direct route from Littlehampton Town to the Club Room and first tee was by ferry across the River Arun.
Two local boatmen, 'Jimmy' and 'Peachey' had their very own rowing boat ferry that operated from Pier Road to the Golf Club, charging one penny single and tuppence return- somewhat cheaper than the toll over the Swing Bridge.Fortunately, with the drainpipe golf bags which normally carried no more than four or five clubs, and unencumbered by any bad-weather extra clothing as all played in normal attire, more golfers could cross at one time.
