Your Gateway to Broadway's History & Art
Broadway Museum, housed in a historic 17th-century building, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history and cultural significance of Broadway, a charming Cotswold village. Our mission is to transport visitors back in time, bringing history to life through our extensive collections, interactive exhibitions, and educational programmes. With evidence of human habitation dating back 8,000 years, we explore Broadways connections to the Roman Era, the wool trade, the East India Trading Company, and the dangers of stagecoach travel. Our exhibitions also celebrate the artistry of William Morris and the Colony of Creativity, including works by John Singer Sargent.

We provide a dynamic and engaging experience for history enthusiasts, art lovers, and families, with interactive spaces where children can touch, smell, and play. Our team is committed to fostering a deep appreciation for culture through talks, films, creative activities, and carefully curated exhibitions. We aim to ignite passion for history and art in future generations while championing environmental sustainability and community engagement. Located at the northern gateway to the Cotswolds, we welcome visitors with open arms and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
