When I was just 7 years old, my beloved dog Apple had an deep injury with a sharp stick. She jumped a fence and didn't see what was on the other side until it was too late. I remember well the frantic effort to get her to the vet in time and the anguished wait while she had surgery. I was worried, but I trusted Margaret the vet to look after my Apple.
The joy of finding out that she was going to be tender for a while but would make a full recovery, still stays with me and it was then I knew I would be a vet. Every member of our staff at Ashwood is an animal lover with their own pets and we know the importance of working with a vet and vet practice you trust.

Ashwood boasts a diverse team of vets with different interests & specialisms from orthopaedic surgery to cardiology, but all of us share a tremendous love for animals and we promise to treat your pet as if they were our own. I knew I would be a vet the moment my wonderful collie/retriever cross Apple came out of Margaret's surgery that afternoon, the wound in her chest repaired and the worry and anxiety of the accident now in the past.

We have an amazing nursing team that holds everything together at Ashwood. They ensures the highest standards of medical care and have specialisms in surgery, anaesthetics, rehabilitation, kidney disease & dentistry. You may be surprised at what our nurses are qualified for, trained in and capable of!

All of our reception needs are met by our amazing team of receptionists. Kelly, Lisa and Molli all have different backgrounds but work so well together and will always greet you with a smile! I had always wanted Pugs since as early as I can remember, though it wasn't until I moved to my own house that it happened.
