Award-Winning Farm Shop & Caf in Denstone, Staffordshire
Established in 2007 by Rupert and Emma Evans, Denstone Hall is a family-run business rooted in a deep commitment to local produce and sustainable practices. Our journey began with the conversion of a traditional milking parlour into a small farm shop and caf, funded by a rural enterprise grant from DEFRA. Over the years, we expanded into a purpose-built facility, now featuring a 100-seat caf overlooking the Staffordshire countryside. Our mission remains unchanged: to source the finest local ingredients from Staffordshire and Derbyshire, ensuring full traceability and minimal food miles. With our own beef and arable farm supplying the shop, alongside partnerships with regional producers, we offer award-winning butchery, deli, bakery, and caf services.

Our dedication to quality extends to our gift shop, stocked with locally crafted goods, and our loyalty card programme, which rewards customers for supporting local businesses. Recognised with accolades such as the FRA Awards for Best Large Farm Shop & Restaurant and multiple wins at the Enjoy Staffordshire Tourism & Good Food Awards, we continue to prioritise customer satisfaction, ethical sourcing, and community engagement. Our team of experienced butchers, bakers, and hospitality staff ensures every visitor enjoys a unique, high-quality experience. From our gate-to-plate philosophy to our dog-friendly outdoor spaces, Denstone Hall combines tradition with innovation to serve both locals and visitors alike.

Facilities - Excellent, Staff - Fantastic, Food - Average (sorry). My wife & I had gone for 'brunch' so both had the half - English. The bacon was dry & the fried egg's yolk was hard. We should have realised when our Order arrived less than two minutes after ordering. Obviously pre-cooking, so not Fresh. Very disappointed and won't go there again for breakfast. Will go to the Deer Park Cafe @ Hoars Cross. SORRY.

Waited a good 15-20 minutes for a cup of coffee and it wasn't even full. Potentially need more coffee machines to cope with demand/size of the place. Plenty of staff so couldn't have been short on staff due to covid. Otherwise, it was nice coffee and carrot cake as long as you don't mind the wait.

Had a wonderful breakfast this morning at Denstone Hall farm shop cafe. Lovely environment with good social distancing. You take a menu and order at the till. We both has full English breakfasts minus the beans, the food came quickly and was excellent. Staff are friendly, lots of seating inside and out if the weather is nice. After we had a walk around the equally excellent farm shop. Highly recommended!!

We rather liked this place, indeed I am not sure what there is to dislike about it. Yes, some of the prices are a bit steep but you don't have to buy. There's a bit to see which should keep you occupied for an hour or so. There's a pleasant cafe and our lunch overall was very good although the service was a bit slow and my warm beef roll could have done with just a little bit of gravy. The lemon cheesecake made up for it though. I was pleased that they have an outdoor cabin for anyone wishing to dine and take their dog.

Lovely well run farm shop with many local items to buy. Friendly and helpful staff. It was my first visit and van safely say I'll visit again. Most visitors leaving Alton Towers Theme Park will pass this on the way to the M6. Highly recommend stopping in.

Delicious home cooked food! We stumbled across the cafe after a trip to Splash landings and returned for Afternoon tea with Santa today. Very relaxed and well thought out, Santa was very friendly and welcoming.
