We are Station House Dental Practice - so named because our distinctive home was once the station house building for Oakengates railway station. A successful practice offering exceptional dental care, we have continued to flourish since we were founded way back in 1999.
Our evolution, from a small practice with just one dentist to a thriving dental centre, has included the addition of a 500,000 wing, designed to cater for increased patient numbers and to provide a distinctly 21st-century service.

Meet the team

Our Practice Principal, Harj Basra, qualified in 1995 from Manchester University and in 1999, he founded Station House Dental Practice. He has worked in general dental practice for over 20 years and provides dental treatments under NHS and Private contract, with areas of special interest in orthodontics and dental implants.

Often described as the 'invisible brace', Invisalign is a highly popular orthodontic treatment which has been used successfully by millions of people worldwide. Invisalign aligners are custom-made from a clear comfortable material and gradually move teeth to an improved position. Our practice Principal Dr Harj Basra has a special interest in orthodontics and has provided orthodontic treatment to thousands of patients for over 20 years.
Braces

This is the traditional way to precisely and predictably realign teeth. These braces feature fixed metal or clear brackets with metal wires which move teeth. They can be fitted to the upper and lower teeth, and treatment usually lasts between 12-24 months. We take x-rays, clinical photographs and models of your teeth, which we use to plan your treatment.
Bridges

These usually consist of a false tooth positioned between two crowns and can help fill the gaps left by one or more missing teeth. Made from porcelain-metal or all-ceramic, they can also be supported by dental implants, offering a predictable solution for missing teeth. We prepare the teeth either side of the gap by removing a layer of hard tooth tissue, which makes room for the metal-ceramic material.
