There has been a dental practice here at Abbey Road for over 50 years and Dr Diana Spencer, the third owner, is keen to carry on the tradition of a family oriented general dental practice serving the dental needs of all in a calm and unhurried fashion with sympathetic attention to detail. Often painless gum disease can remain symptomless or you may notice bleeding gums, bad breath. Dental hygiene is about taking care of your teeth and mouth through daily teeth brushing and flossing. Teeth that have been broken beyond filling or that have been root filled will often benefit from a crown.
Your First Visit

We need to know about your medical history in order to treat you safely. During the initial meeting with the dentist we will discuss your concerns and the reason for your attendance. A thorough check will be carried out, including past dental history. An assessment of teeth, gums, soft tissues and an oral cancer check will then take place together with any necessary intraoral photographs and X rays.
Examinations

Diana has a calm and sympathetic approach to patients and examinations. The first appointment will include a full set of x rays and intra-oral photographs. Plus a full assessment of the teeth and gums, oral cancer screening and a medical and dental history review. A very high percentage of the adult population, approx 97%, suffer with some level of gum disease.
