Studios

Our Hackney Wick recording complex features 3 fully equipped studios available to hire by the day or by the hour. Every studio is designed to suit the needs of a wide variety of musical activities whilst maintaining its own unique personality. Each studio has it's own particular strengths but all of them are suitable for writing, recording, production, mixing and podcasts.
Studio A

Studio A is nearly ready! The studio is based off our old Studio A at the London Fields site (see About Us for more details on Urchin 2.0) but with some features including its own private chill out area and bathroom facilities. We are very very excited to welcome recording artists, bands, string sections, video shoots (and all the other fun things that happened in the old studio) back into our studios.
Studio B
Report
Studio B is the smallest of our 'day hire' studios and the most similar to our dry hire production rooms. It features great monitoring and acoustics for when you need to really dig into the details of your production or mix. This studio is perfect for vocal sessions through our high end recording chain, as well as production, mixing and whatever else you think you can fit in here!
Studio C

Studio C - also known as "The Writing Room" or "The Goldfish Bowl" (Thanks Mr Hudson for that one) sits on the corner of our building on the first floor. With 3 giant windows this recording studio offers the best views out over Hackney Wick as well as the most natural light. This studio is perfect for writing sessions, vocals, podcasts and even smaller video sessions.

I took the band Kings Club to Urchin Studios to track drum with Dan Cox engineering. We spent a couple of hours setting up the drums and Dan was instrumental in getting the right sound for us, suggesting we swap-out a few drums for Urchins own selection and trying different microphones until it sounded 'right'. Dan got us an AMAZING sound. We needed to get 4 tracks recorded done and Dan not only kept on top of numerous complicated drop-ins and my esoteric and sometimes OCD arrangement markers, but also managed to comp together the "keeper" on-the-fly which saved me HOURS of editing work - seriously
