The Acupuncturist will also take a full medical history, to ascertain the flow of energy, pulses may be examined as well as looking at the tongue. Their skill lies in their ability to make a traditional diagnosis from what is often a complex pattern of disharmony. The exact pattern and degree of disharmony is unique to each individual so each person will receive a personalised treatment plan.

It is based on the premise that a blockage or disturbance in the flow of the body's life energy, or "qi, " can cause health issues. Acupuncturists use hair-thin needles to specific acupuncture points throughout the body to restore the flow of qi, balance the body's energy, stimulate healing, and promote relaxation.
Consultation
Report
The Osteopath will ask you about your medical history in detail, and then you will be examined using many tests, some similar to conventional medicine, including a thorough assessment of your musculo-skeletal system. You will be asked to remove your outer garments, though you may wear shorts or possibly loose fitting joggers, so a full assessment can be made considering areas of strain, immobility, or injury.
