It's such a pleasure to watch a highly skilled butcher at work. Today me and my three year old watched him prepare rack of lamb from whole Lamb. If he was selling tickets for the show we'd have bought them! Always great service here from all the staff and if it's not out on the counter they'll get it for you. Excellent management of the busy Christmas ordering period too meaning those of us just popping in to grab our regular food we're not caught in a Christmas scrum. No chaos, just excellent organization. Great job guys, good luck for the next few days and Happy Christmas to you all when it

I have to commend Metrics for their love of farm animals and the excellent welfare to the animals before and after they reach our table. They have won many first rosettes to show they are a caring company. However when it comes to human beings and in particular disabled shoppers they appear to have little regard for them. I took my son who is a wheelchair user to this shop and was flabbergasted to see this flagship Glossop Company never even had a wheelchair ramp to allow wheelchair users to access their shop. It appears to me that you are only welcome in this shop if you are a regular customer

Pork pies lovely but prices just went up and are now ridiculous. Bought a large meat today (a bit cheaper) and it was absolutely awful. Dry, could hardly get the knife through it, and the date was up today. Sorry, but that's it for me.

An excellent independent butchers, food is displayed well, counters and refrigeration units are bright and clean. Prices are good, can't say anything detrimental about this lovely shop.

Found this gem of a place on the way back from the Peak District today. Amazing place, we tried sausages this morning for breakfast and they were delicious. Spoilt for choice for our next visit.

An excellent butcher. We regularly make a detour to go here and pick up the Italian cured bacon. It's something else. Best bacon you'll ever try! They sell squirrel pies which I've never been brave enough to try...maybe I should go in after a couple of beers. Highly recommended.
