Set in a late Victorian terraced property the building is surprisingly spacious and combines both history and character. During the refurbishment we have taken care to ensure the property's special futures are preserved including a solid wood stairwell that took over a month to restore back to its natural beauty.
Examination
Report
During the examination you will be assessed both intra-orally and extra-orally. Checks include a thorough inspection of the soft tissues for abnormality (lesions, scars, abscesses etc), the teeth for cavities, cracks or wear and an assessment of gums for health and signs of gum disease. Your dentist will decide if an x-ray or any other diagnostical tools are needed.
X-rays

X-Rays are an excellent diagnostic tool that can show vital information about your teeth and is part of the dental examination and treatment planning. The dental X-Ray we use at Ealing Dental Studio are digital and offer the lowest radiation dose for the patient.
The digital X-Ray is the most advanced dental X-Ray as the sensor is placed in the mouth (covered in a disposable sleeve) and the cable connected to the sensor instantly transmits the X-Ray image to the computer, where it is saved in the patient's file.There is no need therefore for processing chemicals and the results in image quality are consistently accurate.

Gum Treatment

The gums or gingiva are the soft tissues that surround our teeth and are attached to the underlying bone. The normal colour of healthy gums is coral pink, the texture is like the skin of an orange and their shape is following the lines of the teeth (these triangual edges between the teeth). In the presence of plaque (a mixture of food and bacteria) and tartar (hardened plaque) the gums start getting inflamed.
Composite fillings

At Ealing Dental Studio we only offer white filling high quality materials that provide the same strength as the old-type amalgam fillings and are a healthier and more environmentally friendly option. The mercury that is included in the amalgam (dark) fillings has been associated with health issues and is being gradually replaced with composite materials.
