Initial Driver CPC
Report
Ensure new drivers have an understanding of the industry and assist them in their new career as a professional driver. This is a theory test consisting of 100 multiple choice questions relative to HGV/LGV or PCV (depending on which you are taking). To pass this you must answer at least 85 correctly.
Route to the Road

At JLD we want to make gaining your licence as simple for you as possible, so we have put together this step by step guide to help you along the way, You can now book a package at JLD and we can mentor you all the way through the training and processes to gain your licence. Make sure you tick C and not C1.
Cat C Rigid, Class 2
Report
There are several steps that need to be completed to gain your licence. Firstly you need to get the provisional category C added to your licence, this requires forms D2 & D4 being completed. Form D2 is to have the provisional added and D4 is the medical form and must be completed by a doctor.

Once you have added the provisional you then need to pass the Multiple Choice and Hazard Perception theory tests before you can take the practical driving course and test.Depending on your age, when you passed your car test and the reason for gaining the licence you may have to complete either Periodic (35 Hours) or Initial (Modules 2 & 4) CPC.
Cat C+E Artic Class 1
Report
There are no further medicals or theory tests required to take this course, the C+E provisional entitlement should have been added to your licence by the DVLA when they upgraded your licence after passing the Category C. Passing the C+E test will allow you to drive any large goods vehicle with a trailer up to a combined weight of 44 tonnes.
