Aviemore Medical practice is a seven doctor medical practice offering medical services for residents of and visitors to Aviemore and surrounding area. We feel privileged to work in an area of outstanding natural beauty - the stunning Cairngorm National Park.
Our practice is unique in many ways - we are the only designated casualty unit in Scotland with no overnight beds, the only general practice in the UK that provides primary medical attention to significant numbers of skiers, snowboarders and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Video Consultations
Report
If appropriate, you can have a consultation online with one of our clinicians via a video call. Video calls are as convenient as a phone call with the added value of face-to-face communication. This request form is for renewal/extension of existing sick lines ONLY. Please allow 3 working days for your sickness certificate to be completed.
Minor Surgery Clinic
Report
The practice provides a minor surgery service for our registered patients, provided by a GP with additional training in this area. This service includes assessing lesions (sometimes to give a second opinion), biopsy of some skin lesions which your GP considers may be suspicious or need additional treatment.
Travel Clinic
Report
The Practice offers a travel advice and vaccination service for our patients. In order for us to be able to ensure we can give vaccinations in good time before you travel, we need a minimum of 8 weeks notice before you leave the country but the earlier the better. If you are travelling within 8 weeks you can contact Boots Pharmacy in Aviemore 01479 810259 or you can contact Alert Health 01463 710441 who can provide an urgent service.
Appointments
Report
If you wish an appointment you will need to phone the practice on T: 01479 810258 initially. Our receptionists will ask for an outline of the issue you wish to discuss and you will be called back by one of our clinical staff who will assess the need for an appointment. Most appointments will now take place via telephone or online but a face-to-face appointment will be arranged if needed.
Chronic Pain

Around 20 percent of patients in the UK, Australia and the US experience "chronic pain" so if you have this you are not alone. This often causes real suffering, disrupts normal life and can lead to poor mood or even depression. Pain that lasts longer than 6 months and is not associated with ongoing inflammation or infection is defined as chronic pain.
