A short but tricky opening hole. A slight dog-leg right requires longer hitters to clear a bunker on the right of the fairway to leave a short pitch to a narrow green with a greenside bunker to the right. However a fairway wood or long iron placed down the left half of the fairway leaves an easier approach to the green.

Visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome at Barrow Golf Club. Groups of 8 players or more can book by telephoning our Administrator on 01229 825444 30 days in advance of your booking. Groups of less than 8 golfers should also contact the Administrator to discuss their requirements. Casual visitors should contact the Club Administrator or Professional on 01229 832121 for any changes to the above or for general enquiries.

The Clubhouse complements the splendid surroundings of Barrow Golf Club. From the lounge, you can enjoy breathtaking views and sunsets over the golf course with the Duddon Estuary & Valley and Lakeland Fells as a backdrop. Overlooking the 18th green and fairway you can enjoy a drink from the bar, or a warming cup of tea or coffee, whilst watching players make their way up the challenging final hole.
