Shreen Vets
We are a family-orientated small business in the centre of Gillingham, providing veterinary services to the surrounding areas. Over the 30 years that the practice has been established, it has changed from being a traditional mixed animal practice, to being dedicated to small animals. All of our vets and facilities are at a single site, which means excellent continuity of treatment.

Being long established, we have seen many pets through from their 1st vaccinations as puppies/kittens, through to old age! The River Stour, Dorset's longest river, rises in Stourhead and flows for sixty miles beofre emptying into the western reaches of the Solent. Shreen Water joins the Stour in the centre of Gillingham just a short distance from the practice and it is from this tributary that we take our name.
Services
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

Pet insurance provides cover for veterinary fees in the event that your pet becomes injured or unwell. It can provide peace of mind that you're in a position to afford all the veterinary care your pet may need. With veterinary medicine employing expensive medical techniques and medication, and with pet owners caring more and more about their pets' health, pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular.

The Vets here are so lovely and take their time with pets and owners. Koda loves going there. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they explain things well.

I, and my pets, have been clients of the practice for more than 30 years. There have been changes of course but the ethos of kindness and understanding whilst being completely professional. I am a difficult client because I am a worrier but I need the truth at the same time. The staff handle me brilliantly so I know they handle my animals brilliantly too! This is even more important in these times when we can’t go in with our pets.
