Welcome to our website - whether you are a parent, pupil, friend or visitor, we hope that it gives you a flavour of how we celebrate our wonderfully diverse, innovative and thriving community. We are blessed by amazing pupils, parents, governors and staff who work together to ensure life in all its fullness for the children entrusted to our care, in a happy, safe and optimistic environment.
All our policies and practice reflect the distinctive nature of our Catholic school and are inspired by our Mission Statement, 'Be who God created you to be and you will set the world on fire.' We were founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1964, still maintain close links with them and are proud to continue with their rich tradition of providing excellence in education, instilling in our children a love of learning and a passion for life.

Dominican History
Report
This particular group of Sisters was founded in South Africa, in 1896, by Mother Rose Niland and from the beginning, Education was their mission focus. The Dominican Family draws its inspiration from St Dominic (who lived in the 12th and 13th centuries) and has spread all over the world, engaging in the mission of bringing the gospel message and good news of Christ.
Governors
Report
On behalf of the Governing Board of St Catherine's may I welcome you to our school and wish all parents and children a long and successful association with us. We are blessed with committed and enthusiastic governors, most of whom have been parents of children at the school at one time or another. They give their time voluntarily and bring skills from a wide variety of backgrounds, for the benefit of the school and the children in our care.
Junior Leadership Team
Report
At St Catherine's our Junior Leadership Team our the agents for change within the school. The team aren't voted for, they have to apply for the position and undergo a rigorous interview process. Once the Year 6 JLT are selected, they lead the interviews for the rest of the school.
The JLT are our ultimate ambassadors, they are role models for the younger pupils, collect pupil voice from their classes and work with the Senior Leadership Team to improve the school. At the end of the school year, the JLT make a presentation to the Governing Body, outlining all that they have achieved that year.
