Childcare Connections

Established in April 2000, Childcare Connections is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to addressing the demand for quality out-of-school childcare in South Edinburgh. We specialise in providing flexible, affordable, and inclusive after-school, breakfast, and holiday clubs for children aged P1 to S2, operating across Gilmerton, Gracemount, The Inch, and Moredun. Our services are designed to support parents in employment, education, or training, offering a safe, stimulating environment where children can engage in diverse activities ranging from arts and crafts to sports and educational trips. All our clubs are registered with the Care Inspectorate, and our staff undergo rigorous recruitment processes, including PVG checks and SSSC registration, ensuring high standards of safety and professionalism.

With over two decades of experience, we prioritise child-centred care, incorporating children's input into activity planning while maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks. Our commitment to continuous professional development for staff ensures that we deliver services grounded in expertise and tailored to evolving community needs. We operate term-time clubs from multiple primary schools and holiday programmes featuring workshops, sports, and excursions, all included without additional charges. Transparency in operations, adherence to safeguarding protocols, and fostering partnerships with local institutions underpin our approach to building trust and authority in childcare provision.
