Absolutely fantastic, the new own is a real joy and she loves greeting everyone when they book in, all the staff are really friendly and the receptionist in the day is very friendly and lovely to talk to, she is also very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and near by distillerys, i have now stay here on two separate occasions and i am never disappointed, beautiful food and a great service, would recommend 100%.

Always a treat to stay or eat here, it's a hotel bursting with character and fun features like a billiards room, pool with sauna and hot tub and of course the largest collection of whisky. So good when I got married I named myself after it.

We were here for Afternoon Tea to celebrate a Diamond Wedding and what a great place for a Doo. We had a lovely afternoon in a sunlit function room with great views over the golf course (Edzell Golf Club is a near neighbour). Lovely fresh sandwiches, cakes and scones - the sausage rolls looked really good, but I didn't try one (pal next to me may have had a few!). Very tasty freshly brewed coffee served from cafetieres really hit the spot. This hotel is a real gem. The new owners have great plans for the hotel and are very kind, helpful, and friendly. My family and I visited for Sunday lunch last week and had a lovely time. Great food, welcoming, friendly staff! Great location overlooking Edzell golf course. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you very much!
