Tucked away in the quiet village of Freehay and a few miles from Alton Towers is the delightful "Queens at Freehay" Public House and Restaurant. The charming building dates back to the 18th century and enjoys a pretty setting surrounded by mature trees and a well tended garden. Stepping over the threshold, visitors will be pleasantly surprised to find a refreshingly modern interior with bright decor and elegant tables and chairs.

Prime Staffordshire Moorland beef, cooked with onions and our house merlot red wine, topped with short-crust pastry and served with its own rich merlot gravy. All main courses are accompanied with a choice of chips, boiled potatoes or special potatoes of the day, together with vegetables, unless otherwise stated.

Leaving the M6 at junction 15, take the A500 towards Stoke turning onto the A50 Uttoxeter road after a couple of miles you will come to a roundabout, bear left at the roundabout onto Uttoxeter Road. Follow this road for approximately 3 miles, after you pass the Petrol station on the left, take the second left turning, signposted to Cheadle.
Meet The Chefs

Our Head Chef, David Alcock manages his team that have built up over 35 years of high quality culinary skills between them. David Alcock (known as Big Dave to his friends) has now worked at the Queens at Freehay for over 15 years, with 12 years of serving as the Head Chef. Previously he was trained and worked within the Italian fine dining cuisine, alongside some of the areas top chefs.
