Our Team
Report
We have a team of four friendly vets, all of whom have a wealth of experience. Our vets are required to undertake further study each year to continually improve and update their skills. Rebecka qualified from Cambridge University, where she had studied as a mature student, in 2004.
She has worked in a number of different practices in Derbyshire and spent five years working at the PDSA hospital in Nottingham, which provided her with a wealth of experience with difficult cases. It was whilst working for the PDSA that she met Claire who shares her ethos for wanting to provide top quality veterinary care in a personal and friendly manner sparking a desire for the pair to set up their own practice.

Keyhole speying
Report
Just as keyhole surgery has advantages in humans, the same opportunity now exists for our pets. Keyhole surgery is minimally invasive surgery involving passing a camera and specialised instruments through tiny incisions in the body wall. Due to the positioning of the instruments, a large clip area is required on both sides of the abdomen to ensure the area is aseptic.
Pet insurance
Report
We strongly recommend that you consider pet insurance for your pet, the cost of veterinary care can be more than most pet owners realise especially when specialist techniques or equipment are necessary and, with no NHS for pets, pet insurance is the best way to help you cover the treatment costs. Due to insurance regulation we are not allowed to recommend who you choose as your Pet Insurance provider.
