From a simple nail cut to resolving a complex and painful condition, here at the Disley Podiatry Clinic your feet are in good hands. It is is our job to keep your feet healthy and happy. The foot is a complex structure of bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons, in fact, a quarter of your body's bones are contained in the feet; 26 in each!.

So it is no surprise that at some point in our lives, 80% of us will experience foot problems. At the Disley Podiatry Clinic we can provide relief from the wide variety of conditions affecting the foot and walking. As part of our podiatry service we carry out biomechanical assessments, with the provision of orthotics and insoles, to facilitate the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of abnormal conditions in the spine and lower limbs.

Common Foot Complaints
Report
A callus is excessive thickening of the skin commonly found on the sole of the foot and toes. These are usually caused by excessive external forces such as ill-fitting footwear or biomechanical problems including abnormal gait or bony structure. However, calluses can be caused by congenital skin conditions and in such cases may appear on none-weight bearing surfaces.
Treatments
Report
Whether you require routine foot maintenance or a complex course of treatment, your first visit will typically take up to 40 minutes. Your feet will then be examined and any necessary treatment carried out. After your first appointment, further treatments will usually take around 30 minutes each. Wherever possible, your podiatrist will provide a diagnosis and treatment for your foot complaint during your first visit.
Home Visits
Report
We recognise the importance of keeping our patients, as well as their feet, healthy and happy. Sometimes, we need to go the extra mile to do this, literally, in particular with patients who are elderly or housebound. If you would like to arrange a home visit, please telephone the clinic to arrange a time.
