What dental services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive NHS and private services including implants, Invisalign, restorative work, hygiene treatments, and cosmetic dentistry. Our dentists also perform emergency care and children's dental treatments.
Are you accepting new NHS patients?
We currently aren't accepting new NHS patient registrations but recommend joining the Central Waiting List for Cardiff and Vale area practices through the University Health Board.
Do you offer dental financing options?
Yes, we provide dental plans from £10.50/month covering check-ups, hygiene treatments, and offering discounts on private treatments. We also accept private medical insurance claims.
What are your opening hours?
We're open Monday 9-5, Tuesday 8-5, Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 8-5, and Friday 9-5. We offer extended hours compared to typical dental practices for patient convenience.
Can I get emergency dental treatment?
We treat emergency cases for registered patients and offer private emergency consultations. Non-registered patients pay £87.50 for emergency appointments, with assessment and immediate care provided.

My wife and I have been with Gwena dental care since they opened. Osian and the team have been fantastic and totally professional for all our dental requirements.
Recently, I experienced severe toothache and was seen the following day as an emergency. I arrived at 8.55am and had the molar removed at 9.50am. Superb service and cannot speak highly enough of the care given by the staff. Thank you all.

Had an emergency appointment with this dentist and I'm awe struck I needed a tooth extracted so I called the dental emergency line 8am and got an appointment for 10.30am turned up and was offered a root canal or an extraction on the spot I opted for extraction and this is where I'm completely awe struck I've had teeth removed before and I've always had some minor discomfort after the anathestic wore off but not this time
this time there's barely any swelling and despite having an open socket in my mouth there is no pain or discomfort it just feels a little puffy where it's healing which is happening

Fantastic service. I was diagnosed with bad gum disease in my teens in another surgery and was so embarrassed by this that I hadnt visited a dentist for 5 years until I tried Gwena. The dentist and hygienist were both wonderfully helpful, provided clear information and removed alot of the stains on my teeth in just one visit.

Excellent service at this dentist. I am one very nervous anxious patient and Lisa the dentist is so very good at calming me and explaining all that she is doing and takes her time. Fantastic staff and service, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very operative! I have had an emergency and they helped me immediately. Very friendly and professional people. I booked again for a larger consultation. Long hall to get through as the building is constructed like that but easy to find at the first floor. The main entrance must be better signalised but also Tesco staff helping with guidance. Come earlier if you are first time visiting as is necessary to complete a form. High quality and high prices too. Im happy to finally find a place to sort out implants in Cardiff.
