The Pier Hotel

We have rooms to suit singletons, couples, small families and large families. We have a lunch/sandwich bar, a restaurant and a bar, as well as a covered veranda. Best of all, we are one minute from the seafront and all of Clacton's many attractions whilst just five minutes from the shops.

The bus station is in the middle of town and the railway station (direct services to Shenfield/Stratford/London Liverpool Street) is under a ten minute walk or a short cab ride away.We accept check-in from two o'clock (1400) onwards and checkout is by 10am on day of departure. If you have any particular needs please contact us at the earliest opportunity and we'll do our best to assist.

Full payment by card is taken on this site for confirmed bookings. If you would like to pay by cash then please phone us first but note that a 50 non-refundable deposit is taken for all telephone bookings and the balance is due on arrival in full as cash or card. Booking-in is from 2pm. If you are a cash-on-arrival customer then you have until 4pm that day to check-in or contact the hotel.

At The Pier Hotel we have two ground floor rooms that are level access - there's no stairs or steps between the street and the accommodation. If you have trouble with stairs, these rooms are ideal! Click the image for more details. If you can handle stairs but simply need a hand with your luggage, please let us know on arrival, we'll be happy to help.

There's no online offer codes, or strange boxes to fill in, all we ask you to do is to give us a phone call. That's it! If you tell us that you want to stay during September then we'll give you a great price, but you have to make that call! Our hotel is just a minute from Clacton Sea Front and five minutes from Clacton Pier.

We love to recommend activities and places that our guests can use during their stay but we'll check them out first! You can be assured that if we've recommended someone then they're good, really good, and we are pleased to call them a friend! We can also offer exclusive group all day boat hire for up to ten people and you would have sole use of the KaiMoana Charters boat.
