Aircon Direct was originally started by my dad John, he was obviously given the name "Aircon John" quite quickly, which he is still known by today, although he has almost nothing to do with the business anymore. Our company consists of 2 family members and 1 long term trusted employee. I'm Mark, and in 2001 I started working with my dad, initially just watching and learning the trade.
After a few months, I started to carry out repairs myself and over the past 19 years, I would like to think I have picked up a fair amount of experience in this trade! I have a huge interest in the automotive industry on a personal and professional level. I worked as a mechanic when I left school and was very privileged to work at Brands Hatch Racing Circuit for my first job.

Repairing and replacing parts is a large part of what we do and can supply the best quality parts from a variety of suppliers, often supplying parts the same quality as the dealer at much more reasonable prices.

A common fault with vehicle a/c, the smell is normally a build of bacteria on the evaporator. This can be caused by a low refrigerant charge and/or a dirty cabin (pollen) filter. Normally a recharge and a new cabin filter are sufficient, but we can also clean and deodorise the evaporator with a machine which creates a mist within the cabin if the problem is bad.
