We provide healthy balanced meals for all children, whether they're funded or paying privately. We deliver a personalised learning experience for all children, and monitor progress against EYFS guidelines. It's vital for children to spend time outdoors, and we have a large garden as well as trips to the beach and park.
We use an app called Famly to keep parents informed during the day. We send you a morning and afternoon update with photos (if you give us permission) on what your children have been doing. We also let you know what and how much they ate, and when they have naps or nappy changes. Find out about our balanced, healthy and kid-friendly menu with meals and snacks spread through the day.

Food & Menu
Report
With a mixture of fruit and vegetables at meal and snacktime, including some hidden vegetables in main meals. Meals are prepared and cooked in our own kitchen at the nursery, by our lovely Nursery Cook. We have a nutritious and child-friendly menu, including a variety of meat and fish, different fruit & vegetables and carbohydrates across every 2 weeks.
Curriculum & Learning
Report
The curriculum and learning framework at Little Holland Nursery is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and the Development Matters framework. Across the 7 Areas of Learning and Development, we help children to work towards and achieve age-appropriate goals and abilities. Staff in each room ensure that there are activities for each area of learning and development every day.
Local Trips
Report
Going on trips is a big part of the nursery experience, allowing children to get outside, experience more of the world, and practice things like crossing roads safely with an adult. We take regular trips to the beach, park and library all of which are within a short walking distance. We also have ad-hoc trips such as nature walks or visits to shops and local sites to complement other activities that the staff are running.
Fees & Funding
Report
We offer 15-hour and 30-hour funded places. The Government calculate that funding based on 38 weeks per year, but most families choose to spread the funding through the year. This works out at 11 hours a week for 15-hour funding, and 22 hours a week for 30-hour funding. Some 3-year-olds are eligible for 30-hour funding, based on whether their parents or carers both work, earn more than 569 per month and less than 100,000 per year.
