We are an independent opticians practice based in Broadheath, Altrincham with over 40 years of experience in eyecare. This enables us to detect any eye condition at the earliest possible stage. We are able to detect conditions such as glaucoma up to 9 years earlier than would be possible with a conventional eye examination. In a very short space of time, we have helped some of our patients like Jude Ledger avoid sight loss occurring through a retinal tear and others with retinal detachments.

H & H Eyecare is a new independent, family owned, eyecare practice run and owned by Susan and Khal who first met in 2004. Between them they have over 35 years of experience working for multiple and independent opticians all over the North West. They are passionate about providing the highest level of eyecare and their dream has been to create the perfect eyecare practice using the most advanced technology available.

Optomap

Optomap digital retinal imaging is a unique technology that captures more than 80% of your retina in one panoramic image, while traditional imaging methods produce a retinal photograph which typically only shows 15% of your central retina at any one time. Using this technology, we are able to detect and monitor many eye conditions at a much earlier stage, often detecting conditions that may have been missed at previous examinations.
OCT – Optical Coherence Tomography

OCT is a 3D ultrasound scan of your retina, in particular your optic nerve and your macula. Conventional methods of eye examination available used in most opticians, including retinal photography, only able the optometrist to see what is happening on the surface of your retina, when a lot of conditions of the eye start at a much deeper level.
