Our history starts back in 1975, when Powred Heating and Burner Spares Ltd (PHBS) formed, supplying heating contractors throughout the South West with commercial and industrial heaters, spares and flue systems from our old location in central Bristol. 2003 - Powred Heating Components (PHC) was formed, following the acquisition of Cardiff-based domestic heating parts specialist Heating Components.
PHC and PHBS consolidated 12 months later, enabling us to provide more efficient distribution of domestic and commercial heating spares throughout the South West and Wales. 2008 - We saw the creation of Firebox Stoves; our sister brand for wood and multi-fuel stoves.

Multi Fuel Stoves
Report
What is a multifuel stove? Is a question we get asked a lot here at Firebox Stoves. To put simply, multifuel is as the name suggests, is a stove that can burn a variety of responsibly sourced fuels including wood and smokeless fuels such as anthracite, peat and turf briquettes.
Generally, coal and smokeless fuels produce more heat compared to wood so therefore it is a great option for homes that require a little more heat from their stove or for those who cannot source or store large quantities of wood.

5kW and Under Multifuel Stoves
Report
Multifuel stoves with a nominal output of 5KW or under tend to be the most popular choice for those that live in a city or in a property where room size is average and increased heat output is not needed. If you have already been researching multifuel stoves currently on the market, you may have noticed that many of the manufacturers offer a huge choice of multifuel stoves around 3-5kW mark.
6kW and Over Multifuel Stoves
Report
Do you have a larger than a standard room? Or perhaps an extension or high ceilings? Then consider a 6kW or over multifuel stove to kick out that extra bit of heat. Stoves with a nominal output of 6kW or over are a great choice for larger rooms or open-plan homes as they tend to be significantly larger in size compared to an average 5kW stove and produce considerably more heat.
