Extremely helpful and knowledgable staff who go out of their way to help. A lovely local shop that is quite rare today considering all of the big department stores. Shops like B&Q, Homebase and Toolstation are gradually taking over this market and I am more than willing to pay a couple of quid extra to boost the business for shops like Cornmeter. This shop is perfect for board cutting too. Planks of wood cut to size.

Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The place to go when you dont quite know what it is exactly that youre looking for but .. describe a problem and they will find the solution. Forget the big sheds, this kind of specialist retailing is perfect for the high street.
